⁴³ As a result, the crowd was sharply divided because of him. ⁴⁴ Some of them even wanted to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him.

⁴⁵ Then the temple guards went back to the chief priests and the Pharisees, who asked them, “Why did you not arrest him?”
